PrintLab and CraftBot Announce Global Education Collaboration

PrintLab (UK), a 3D printing curriculum developer and global distributor, are announcing a key collaboration whereby their online learning platform will be available through Hungarian-based 3D printer manufacturer, CraftBot, and their reseller network in over 20 countries.

By bundling PrintLab Classroom curriculum with the multi-award winning CraftBot Plus 3D printer and ecosystem, schools can have access to a complete solution that is dedicated to preparing the next generation for innovative and disruptive careers in 3D design and 3D printing. The CraftBot-PrintLab Education Package consists of:

  • Plug&Play CraftBot 3D printer (CraftBot Plus or CraftBot XL)
  • Safety accessories with HEPA filter (dome, door)
  • 1-year access to PrintLab Classroom training and curriculum
  • PrintLab Certification Course (online)
  • Craftware slicing software
  • PLA filaments
  • 3D printer accessories

Jason Yeung, Co-Founder at PrintLab said, ‘In recent months, we have been testing the CraftBot Plus 3D printer to ensure our curriculum is packaged with a product that is well suited for the classroom. We are delighted to say that the CraftBot has exceeded our expectations in terms of ease-of-use, reliability, safety and print quality. We have a range of important and exciting themes planned for our lesson plan library this year, including designing for disability and circular economy projects, which we look forward to sharing with existing and new CraftBot users’.

Éva Szász, Marketing Manager at CraftBot added, ‘Slowly but surely, the 3D revolution took off within education, but the real breakthrough has so far been hindered by a serious obstacle: apart from a few ground-breaking and enthusiastic teachers, most got stuck at the start. After months of research and seeking, through an enthusiastic English teacher acting as an intermediary, CraftBot has finally found PrintLab Classroom who can create the missing link with their self-developed curricula’.

In addition to the English, Polish and Greek versions of PrintLab Classroom that are currently taught in over 300 schools globally, the 2 companies will be working together to develop further translations – providing the global community with access to creative 3D printing curriculum and the CraftBot Education Package.

The CraftBot – PrintLab EDU Bundle will be available in February 2019.
